Recording your own voice
- Here are some instructions on what to do. You just need to do the first 5 steps. If you want to publish it online, save your mp3 file in your computer and then go to esolf2f wiki and upload it onto your personal page in student pages. This is Min's one.
- If you want to become an expert on podcasting (subscribing to podcasts or producing your own podcasts), go to Stephan Ridgway's Introduction to Podcasting.
Go to Let's Talk to listen to your podcast about Everyone's a Winner! or simply click on the screen below.
Have a great holiday and have lots of fun practising your pronunciation!

This photo is for the geeks out there!
Good work everyone! Last week you learned how to create and post a photo album. I hope you continue using your new skills to send photos of your family to friends and relatives. You can also add sound and today we will try to do it.
Look at Bing's blog. He wrote a good personal piece on If I were an animal... . Try and write something yourself.
Today you will have some time to catch up with your podcast listening. Check last week's post for the links to the 4 podcasts due this term.
Last week we created our first podcast by recording it onto an mp3 player/recorder. Another way of creating audio files is the program Audacity. A couple of you tried it at the beginning of last term. Today I would like to find time for everybody to record your voice using Audacity. Follow this steps:
- Listen to your very first podcast: This is us! (Ft 2008). YOu will also find it in our podcasting blog: Let's talk!
2. Click on Audacity
3. Connect the headphones/speaker to the computer
4.Press the red button to record your voice
Time to relax!Marion and Sally have told me about online karaoke and I found this blog, YouTube Karaoke, where you can practise your English (at home, as it is blocked at TAFE) while singing. Have fun

Check your blog portfolio checklist and make sure you complete the tasks as soon as possible. Remember to publish everything in your blog!
Bubbleshare (now no longer available) Photobucket-Slide.com-Frappr-etc
Have fun publishing photos in your blog. Bubbleshare (or any of the other photo slide websites above) is very easy to use for that purpose. Join and start having fun. Ask your teacher fo take photos if you haven't got any with you. Notice that you can write a caption on each photo. You can have fun and use the special features, like speech bubbles, funny hats, etc.
This one I did with flickr. They are photos of flowers I've take around my garden, when going on bush walks or around the city.
Podcasts
Catch up work from last term: Listen to the podcasts and do the work on the worksheets published on each podcast below. You will need quite a lot of time and you may not be able to open the worksheets at TAFE, so PLEASE work at home on this.
- Carol Podcast & worksheet (which includes writing)
- Andrew Podcast & read article & write your opinion in your blog
- Patricia: Librarian podcast & answer questions
- Tessa Podcast & worksheet (which includes writing)
Formal Letter Writing
I have found a very good website for you to look at and expand on the work we started last week on formal letter writing: speakspeak writing business letters. It tells you when to write Yours sincerily or Yours faithfully and it also gives you many useful senctences for the opening and closing lines.
Water Saving
This term Andrew is going to be talking to you about the environment. There is a new online game called Mission H2o. It is on water conservation and teaches players how to improve water usage at home. You can win an ipod if you play all the games. Tell your kids and friends about it! Closing Date: Friday 30th May 2008 at 5.00pm.Personal Texts
As you know, a blog is very useful to express your own thoughts and opinions. View this blog from one of Sally's students (AMEP-B 2007), Bo Liang's Blog. Do the same topic as Bo, If I could be an animal....Choose and animal you would like to be and write about it.
